Yakjah’s core philosophy is that ‘peace is not absence of conflict’. Yakjah also holds the belief that social activism or external peacebuilding which includes repairing broken relationships, improving structural gaps, developing better solutions for social justice and peace manifests from an ‘inner activism’ that propels the change we wish to see in the outer world. It was this vision we have to build a global community of peacebuilders and compassionate politics of interconnectedness and equality so as to enable a shift from ego-system to eco-system economies and politics.
